Depending on your design plan, controls can be deployed as groupings of fixtures for maximum return on investment. Or, your design plan may have controls per fixture to ensure more customization. It’s even possible your design plan has more sensors to maximize the data being collected in the space.
In the Detroit Electrical Industry Training Center cafeteria, there are four areas of per-fixture zones on the east and west sides, and one fixture-group zone in the center area. In the east and west zones, each fixture has an Advanced Load Controller and Sensor 2s installed, making each fixture individually customizable.
In the center zone, a high bay area with daylight harvesting enabled, one Advanced Load Controller and one Sensor 1 control a circuit of down lights.
