Technical Sales Associate

Amatis is an emerging IoT lighting controls company currently expanding in Detroit, Chicago and Ontario (Canada) markets. We’re on a mission to show how simple lighting controls can be, and believe electrical contractors are our partners in saturating the building industry with products that are better for the planet.

We’re growing our commercial sales and marketing team in Detroit and are looking for someone who is as excited by the mission we’re on, who can build new customer relationships and has experience in technical products and sales.

Responsibilities

You’ll learn the latest in smart building and wireless technology while building meaningful relationships with local electrical contractors, building owners, and other members of the energy community. You’ll steward customers through a complete process of securing projects, design concepts, quoting, commissioning and after-sales support.

  • Take the lead on new customer outreach in Southeast Michigan.
  • Identify and establish new business. Ensure sales targets are met.
  • Act as the primary customer service contact for customers who have questions about their accounts or products.
  • Organize sales visits.
  • Provide product education and advice.
  • Maintain sales and interaction records through Salesforce.

Financial Analyst - Business Planning

We’re on a mission to show how simple lighting controls can be, and believe electrical contractors are our partners in saturating the building industry with products that are better for the planet.

We’re growing our commercial team in Detroit and are looking for someone who is excited by the mission we’re on, enjoys an analytical challenge, is highly attentive to detail, and is motivated by the prospect of building financial models for a growing business.

Responsibilities

You’ll learn how the commercial building technology industry functions, and sharpen our finances in the process. You will be involved in bookkeeping, reporting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and basically every other aspect of our business that requires money (hint: everything). You will assist and advise the business on decisions around cash-flow, inventory investments, expansion, and growth planning.

  • Maintain the financial books, with the help of a certified accountant
  • Build and maintain financial reports
  • Forecast revenues and cash-flows based on inputs from Sales and Marketing
  • Assist management on cash-flow decisions based on budget modeling

Customer Service Lead

We’re growing our commercial team in Detroit and are looking for someone who is excited by the mission we’re on, enjoys engaging with people, is a tenacious learner, and is motivated by the prospect of selling advanced building systems that allow us to support our customers at scale.

Responsibilities
You’ll be the go-to for our customers looking for support. You will be involved in customer training, building out a knowledge base for customer support with our marketing team, and basically every other aspect of our business that touches the customer. You will also design, implement, and manage the support infrastructure that will enable our customers to succeed at scale.

  • Guide customers through support queries
  • Build support knowledge-base (internal and customer facing)
  • Project manage complex customer issues and system deployments
  • Build support infrastructure required to handle scale
  • Conduct training for customers in a group setting, over the phone, or on job-sites
